Emergency service workers to look after each other

The inaugural meeting of the Central Coast Emergency services Post Trauma Support Group was held at the Terrigal Surf Club on Tuesday, November 17.

Past and present emergency service workers were invited to attend.

The group has been formed as a branch of the Police Post Trauma Support Group and is intended as a point of support just for emergency service workers who may be suffering or have suffered Post Traumatic Stress.

The group is independent of any government agency and is supported by Police Chaplains. It is run by emergency service workers for emergency service workers.

The intent of the group is to supply non-judgmental support and referral to any emergency service worker in need of assistance.

It is intended that the group will meet on the third Tuesday of the month at Terrigal Surf Club.
