The Point Clare Public School boy’s football team competed in the second round of the PSSA Football Knockout Competition against Gosford Public School on Tuesday, July 15, at Fagan Park.
The boys were put under immediate pressure by strong attacking players from Gosford, however, the Point Clare backs had good defence and worked well as a team.
Gosford scored within the fi rst 12 minutes and continued to hold the majority of possession throughout the remainder of the half.
Point Clare looked ready for a comeback at the beginning of the second half, with an increase in possession and a couple of close shots.
Point Clare’s defence was unable to hold Gosford out and the opposition came away with a 3-0 win.
